RusJet Team builds MiG-41

General / 25 October 2021

In 2010-2011 I worked in a company engaged in the development of interactive training programs for military hardware operators. That was the time where first versiion of my fictional MiG was born in 3d. Somewhere at that time I first learned about RusJet team (https://www.facebook.com/RusjetClub/). The list of their achievements in world championships is more than impressive :)

I was truly impressed by their Yak-130 aircraft. They won several titles, including the title of world champion with this one. If someone is not enthusiastic enough, I recommend watching these videos:

A little later, I learned about their new model of MiG-29 fighter. With this model, they also won championships more than once. The details in this are really outstanding.

All the more my surprise was when I received a letter from the team leader Pavel Lapshov. In it, he spoke very well of my MiG-41 and said that he and the team wanted to build a model based on my design. Needless to say, I didn't mind.

We talked with Pavel for about forty minutes. He turned out to be a very interesting interlocutor, a person keen on his work. I have given full permission to use my design while maintaining the authorship, and naturally any design changes that will allow it to win in its class.

Work on the aircraft, which is called Project 41M, is already ongoing. The team hopes to fly the model in the spring of 2022. In the meantime, I can share screenshots of the model being developed and photos from tests flights of a small prototype aerodynamics testing:

It should be separately noted that it is planned to create not a 100% copy model, but a super-maneuverable model with three-dimensional thrust vector control in the so-called F3S class for participation in aerial acrobatics competitions. But the more interesting this whole idea is.

On behalf of myself and the RenderDock team, I once again wish the RUSJET team, personally Vitaly Robertus and Pavel Lapshov, success in reaching of new goals.
